This is my first attempt to make some wood gas like I saw in the "Sodacan Hydrogen Gasifier" vid from Knowledge Publications. Made some pretty hot looking flames for my first try.
This time I've made a small stove to burn wood chips using what I think is the wood gas method. This is my first try.
Sorry I didn't time it because the handful of wood burned much longer than I expected, more than 15 minutes. At the end all I had was maybe a teaspoon of ash.
If you want more info let me know.

I have more upload space so I thought I would upload a longer segment. I also tried to brighten the video a little since YouTube seems to make things darker.
Here is another test where I took my basic stove but added a fan. This is the 2nd test because the first time I used 12 volts on the fan which then supplied so much air that the stove got red hot on the top. So hot that it burned away the J-B Weld that I used. BTW the fan itself did not get hot from the stove because it blows away the heat.
Used my wood gas stove/forge for the heat source.
I checked the voltage coming off the solar panel after I ran the test. With the bright sun the voltage coming out was a little less than 12 volts. No wonder the flames were so high and the fuel burned up pretty fast. My bad. I have to adjust that so the fan runs at 6 volts.
