An amazing version of "Megalomania", played live at Asbury Park, NJ on 8/5/1975. This also made it onto the "Past Lives" compilation. I think it's safe to say that Ozzy would not be able to sing this song now, as he had trouble singing it even back in 1975. Great solo by Iommi to close the song. Enjoy!
No, it's not a typo. Black Sabbath performed "Smoke on the Water" as an encore during Gillan's tenure in the band. This rendition comes from Worcester, MA on 11/4/1983. Quite good.

This was too hilarious for me not to post. In January 1984, Black Sabbath began another leg of the Born Again tour. For this leg, Gillan sang "Neon Knights" on several occasions, and it was...interesting... haha. I think Ian Gillan is an amazing vocalist but there are some songs he should just stay away from. This is one of them. Enjoy this interesting live moment.
Black Sabbath performing "Sabbra Cadabra" at California Jam in 1974. I've always liked this recording, even though it's not 100% perfect. It has a very raw sound, and the guitars have a unique sound that I haven't heard on any other Sabbath recording. I'd call it "uber-heavy". Anyway, I'm completely rambing now, so enjoy!
This version of "Computer God" was performed during the first of two nights in Costa Mesa, CA on 11/14 and 11/15 1992. Dio abruptly left the band when Sabbath chose to open for Ozzy Osbourne these two shows and Rob Halford was recruited to fulfill vocal duties. "Computer God" was only played the first night, and not on the second night when Sabbath played four songs with Ozzy. Enjoy!
A live version of Black Sabbath performing the song "Changes". This song was performed only twice, once with Ozzy in 1973, and this time with Martin at Tokyo in 1995. This was toward the end of an audience tape, and it begins hissing toward the end, which is too bad. Overall though, the quality is pretty good. Enjoy!

Black Sabbath has 4 known live versions of "Under the Sun". The Dayton '72 version has already been graciously posted. I have the '72 Hollywood Bowl version, which sound-wise is a lot like the Dayton version. There are also two renditions done in 2001, prior to Ozzfest. Black Sabbath does a spirited version of "Heaven and Hell" in Reggio Emilia, Italy on 9/12/1992. Listen to Dio's choice of words, especially in the "Little White Shape" section. Dio and Sabbath have done some great versions of Heaven and Hell, but unforunately I'd have to break them up into 2 vids to post them. This one is just short enough to get by.
